The Beauty 0f Stuyvesant
The hamlet of Stuyvesant is home to such natural beauties as Stuyvesant Falls which hosts a spectacular view of the waterfall on Kinderhook Creek. Enjoy this beautiful roadside waterfall and the walking paths within Kinderhook Creek Nature Preserve. This preserve is a 85-acre “working forest” with a shoreline and 5-miles of walking trails.
The natural beauty continues all the way down Route 9J where you’ll find Riverview Park Picnic area and Boat Launch. If you’re looking for more hiking and exploring look for signs for Shodoack Landing Park, Nutten Hook Reserves, and Lewis A. Sawyer Preserve. Or, relax and kick back with your fishing rod and a snack at Ferry Road Fishing Pier.
All these beautifully preserves parks are located within 10 minutes of Hudson Meadows. But, if you’re feeling more adventurous, hop over to the Catskill side of the river for even more natural wonders and some of the best snow slopes in New York.
